Fall of Criminal Activities? Imbalanced Economy Incoming?

With all recreational criminal outlets now nerfed (600-800 per car/8k per brick) why would people risk doing anything criminal for more than the thrill of doing so now? Especially with the forced fines coming into play. Because now its to the point that you can sit at Taco Libre and make as much if not more money with no risk, doing close to nothing. Will the gang clock in function make up for it? In addition, with the crim price nerfs does that mean that the people who made all their money back when drugs were selling on the street for 20-25k will just sit on their wealth knowing it will be close to impossible for someone to achieve that same said wealth without putting in 3-4 times more time and effort? I find it a bit unfair that these people can sit on all this money because prices were slashed into fractions of what they once were. Like I said in the previous post, im just worried about the ecosystem of it all. And seeing these changes and hearing how people have been feeling has me worried to no end. I feel like we deserve some public clarification on the new changes considering that they are big enough to impact this city in a extraordinary way, be that negative or positive.

I know my case isnt the average, but im still clearing ridiculous drug profits post nerf.

Exactly, put some thought into the game or anything you pursue instead of saying this isn’t fair to new people who come in and see people with wealth or you just want to wipe … which tbh any server you go to, there is always going to be people with wealth, should motivate you instead of de motivating you. I’d hope you wouldn’t go to other servers and say “ hey there are people that made wealth off this particular whatever so it isn’t fair or maybe you should just wipe the server “ who cares about the people who have been here since day one putting numbers in the city when we went crazy when 10 people were in the city and tbh you all think the criminal stuff was just flourishing back then, well bad news for ya we had literally drugs and the locals now these days buy nearly 4x now from when did it and it wasn’t a quick process making that correction 16-24k, locals take that stuff in more bulk and seems easier now.

You have the established network, grind, ties, and a lot of people know to go to you. And you also have the resources to sell multiple bricks along with selling on the street. But a lot of people can't get the prices you get from it considering you have the luxury of getting it at such a rate you can resell brick to others. I give it to ya 100% though, you're the main if not only person I see really selling drugs at this time as far as bricks go. You keep that element alive in a way, and I appreciate the hell out of that man, for real.

We're still reviewing everything as I said in a previous post. That's why people are going crazy over this stuff right now. I have said nerf and maybe that was my mistake... what we are doing is balancing. Chop was put in without much research to how it would actually play out money wise. So now we have had people doing it and we have data to review, and we see it was set too high. We're balancing it to be inline with where we want it to be in the "criminal" income category. We also increased profits from a different criminal activity as another effort to balance. Also, houses are currently being reworked and we're adding a new criminal activity to the server soon.

Please, just give us some time to work things out. Not that I don't appreciate the feedback, but I just want people to understand its a work in progress and balance is not the easiest thing to do on an economy server. We've been very busy on other things for a long time and haven't really taken a long hard look at what is going on with pay. That should be obvious by our mistake in adjusting the whitelist jobs TOO LOW. But we realize that and are again making a balancing change. While we did that... we noticed other things were out of line too. Fishing was NEVER meant to be earning people 5-8k/hour but the data shows that is what is happening so we had to balance it.

The fact that he has an established network and everything else you said says alot, because I've watched his grind up from when he first joined the city and it's awesome to see where he's at after all this time. That's the thing though, it takes time, hardwork, RPing with as many people, and building the reputation that he has to get what he has now. It's no different even after all these changes.

yes, i do, and thats why is i know it isnt the usual case. But the fact remains i built all of that regardless of price. Would of it taken me a little longer? Sure, but the price was irrelevant to building the network its dedication to the sport.

It's not the wealth itself my man, that is a norm in every city. But hearing that there will be no way to even make a half of what they made doing the same exact thing is what's de motivating about it. And if it's better now but everyone talks about "when bricks were worth something" why not just revert it back? Im sure it would make a lot of people happy.

Any server you go to is also going to have a periodic wipe cycle. Starting over from nothing but with a balanced economy & other systems should motivate you instead of demotivating you.  ;)

And I know for a fact firsthand that criminal activity used to be far, far easier than it is now.  Free zero-risk drugs paying 5x what they do now on the street, cops were on the services tab so you knew they weren't even around (not that it ever stopped me but still)

Fact is I have 3 well established characters and have been in the city over a year now.  Perhaps the wealthiest one right now did it mostly as a civ the hard way, buying a small business from the previous owner and making it viable enough to resell for a profit. When I suggest a wipe it's not because I have nothing to lose. I'm fully aware of exactly how hard it was (or wasn't) to earn things.  I welcome the challenge of doing it again but under a system that is balanced, has real risk, and the hard choices that will come with all that.  In the end I'm here for that action, the RP.. not flexing a bunch of pixel cars.

Bricks weren’t even a thing back when everyone says, like Honton said Blanco didn’t come into the city back then he came in when all this stuff was changed and made the most out of it and I promise you if you compare just his stats alone and then mine from the drug sales back in the day he would have me beat, it took HOURS selling and you saying there is no way to make half of what us very very few made back then means you have fed into the BS all these new and even older players who didn’t spend time into the city Are feeding everyone, takes dedication, grind, And RP and a good mindset I’m sure Blanco can agree along with others as well.

Paying 5x what it does now… I highly doubt that I was out there selling and it took literally hours selling, close to what you make now in half the time it does now, was it easy Somewhat yeah but that was the benefit back then being in the city and putting player count on the board to keep the city alive. I know you say you are here for the action and rp and not to flex pixel cars but everyone has a diff style and liking to how they want to RP their character.

I like cars, too.  My point is that I'm not afraid to lose them and earn the money to buy new ones in a more balanced economy with a higher difficulty setting.  I'm up for that, it sounds like fun to me.
