Store robbery

Problem:

Stores pay $500-$1,200

In City Hours Unemployment check

$75 every 1hour

$75 for 24hours is $1,800

24hours in city is 4hours real-time.

People smash and grab all stores within the first 2hours after server restart.

Solution:

After Police shut off store alarms the store is on cool-down for 2hours.

Payout increased to $4,000-$5,000 or $1,000 and USB to be worth the risk.

USB used to crack safe in the back of the store,

for a chance of $5,000 and a Red Decryption Key or $10,000 payout.

(Keep in mind this will be split a minimum of 2 ways, one person with hostage and one cracking the safe)

Decryption Key can be used for bank trucks.

We will increase the payout and add a random chance that the clerk will go hostile.

  • We will increase pay, but we do want to keep the stores focused on low level smash and grab criminal activity.
  • We will add a random timer per store to enable stores independently after a server restart so they can't all just be hit and disabled.
  • We will make the timer after the store is hit also be random so the reset can't be timed by people as easily.
  • We will add a personal cooldown timer to prevent one person from chain robbing back to back.
  • We will also remove the requirement for police to be online.

Why not use the drill?  It'd be loud and slow by nature, which seems to fit the increased risk & time that would go with a larger payout.

Because then everyone would just run to mega mall and get a drill. The point is to have to get the object from another illegal act. Think bigger picture.

I really like the idea of needing another item for this. Adds more depth to it, only draw is time but with a second or third person this would open a big part for more RP with cops.

Yeah it'd be a cool option, do the usual smash & grab or go big for the safe

I know Senlar mentioned a chance for the clerk to defend themselves. If we increase the reward let's explore his suggestion and increase the risk. Police take robberies at high priority so your chance of getting RP from it remains the same, but I can see criminals not wanting to risk jail-time over $1,800.

I personally wanna see a clerk snap and start yelling "you done Fucked up now!" And start attacking with a bat or something cough big purple dilly cough..

What if the dollar value fluctuates based on RNG or something like that. If the value is under $1,000 the clerk dumps it immediately, no self defense. $1,001 to $2,000 and it's a few seconds longer plus an increased chance they come at you with a bat. $2,001 to "x" and its another fee second delay and an increased chance they pull a revolver? 

Crim kills the clerk, they have no hostage and get Murder of Pedestrian. Crim runs off because they fear for their life but can the clerk be scripted to not aggro on PD or innocent bystander at the pump?

Maybe a manager or 2nd worker pops out of the back as a wildcard, or a silent alarm
