Couple of Southside enhancements
So I haven't found MLO's for these yet but I'm hoping y'all might have better resources for finding them. Two buildings that I think could add a lot to the area & make it feel more like a community vs. a collection of different gang turfs:
Davis MegaMall:
This place could be a lot more than a storefront, hosting car shows & kind of a neutral (mostly) hang-out. As most may know it's based on the Slauson SuperMall in LA - it's called a "mall" but the interior is closer to a permanent flea market. A building full of booths people could rent short term for small or temporary business ideas would be pretty cool. Maybe you have a bunch of cellphones that fell off a truck but don't really want to own a whole store just for that.. You get the idea.
BJ Smith Recreation Center:
Any kind of functionality for this spot would be awesome. It's a central location and should be more of a focal point in the area, another neutral type of hang-out for hosting events or any other activities that could reasonably be found at a community center. This one doesn't even need an MLO interior, just a couple of things onsite for people to get into, maybe a sound system or anything really just to give it some life.
Megamall MLO sucks, bad quality and empty AF.
I will get an MLO for the rec center.
