Lawyers for Title Transfers

I see ppl go days asking for help with a transfer, but it's understandable.  Someone that buys & sells cars for a living shouldn't be expected to help us get one from someone else at a discount.  It's directly hurting their business even if they charge double (*cough*).

This is normally done through a registrar's office at a courthouse, plus it's not a direct conflict of interest for a lawyer.

Maybe a commission based on the sale price (with a minimum) would be a better incentive?

This or let us do it through City hall for a fee. I have been seeing people trying to get someone to do a title transfer for over a week now and it's not getting done. If dealerships are the only place that this can be done at, then it's part of their job and should not be skirted, IMO.

Actual weeks at this point.  I've even offered to pay double but any car they transfer is one less sale for themselves so why would they bother?  They're better off waiting for you to give up then buying it themselves at a steep discount.

Had one tell me their dealership simply doesn't do transfers because of the 7% tax.  I didn't think they were effected by that, the one time recently I've been able to buy a used car (because they had the seller on the lot needing money to buy one from them) it wasn't even mentioned, but apparently that's their policy.

I'd be happy to just drive local cars, I honestly prefer the customization options & generally could care less if my Mustang says Ford or Vapid on the back, but so many of them have been nerfed into the ground - presumably to encourage import sales? But maybe that's a different issue.

If the dealerships aren't willing to transfer cars between players, can we please give that job to someone else?
