Criminal RP and Contacts

It seems as though the method for obtaining contacts has changed resulting in a lot of confusion within the city as to how this process works or if it's even still doable. With A LOT of criminal related activities disabled or not working as they should I feel this side of things needs to be looked into. I understand with the release of 1.0 this means certain things will need to wait while others take priority but again, I feel as though criminal RP and the way drugs are being handled could use more. I was encouraged to post this by an Admin to get feedback from others in regards to their experience with the current drug system and criminal activities so I hope others will chime in on this post with suggestions!

tldr; contacts for drugs are either disabled or too rare to find. information on how to get them is sparse and those who "do" have knowledge aren't helping stimulate the economy with drug RP as they should. criminal activities are VERY limited as of late due to them being disabled or bugs.

I would like to add here that personally i think that the drug stuff should be a progress system i dont think any ''new'' players can come in and make coke or meth on the first couple of days in the city it should take a lot of time to get to that stage

I would say that's the case now, no new player is going to be on the supply end quickly without some serious metagaming or someone very well established going out of their way to get them set up. If anything, I think OP was addressing that it may be a little bit too hard right now and from what I've seen I would agree.

I like the current system as a framework to build upon but some aspects are a little odd or counterintuitive and there's definitely room for growth.  I think it needs to be refined, adjusted, and/or expanded in some ways rather than fundamentally changed.

Also, frogs.  Thank you for reading.

Also the police notifications about house robberies is insane. A lock pick doesn't break or fumble the knob and 3 cops show up. I do not understand how they are getting notifications at that point. Keys have seem to vanished. I have yet to get a key in the last 50 houses i have hit. Contacts seem to not be circulating anymore and there is very little reward at the moment for the high risk criminals have to go through. I also do not see how the police can get a notification someone is doing suspicious activity when someone is bagging stuff inside a motel room. I think a balance needs to be worked in to keep the criminal rp worth doing.

Would be happy to put my bits in. I went from street peddler to chef. I didn’t have anyone to tell me about the upgrade spot so I put that footwork in. Since then I still have yet to find a single contact that wasn’t a gift or bought from someone. I also don’t have a for sure knowledge of where to find them, just likely guesses. I’m sure this is a balance but for crime it’s really hard. For one it’s hard to find the conversion easy(after buying the vehicle.) two it’s almost impossible to find contacts without getting them from older players. Three you have to then hope another person doesn’t see you call the contact to compete. For the amount of work you do for one single brick doesn’t provide enough compensation for the product. It’s good RP, but for a drug dealer it’s highest risk lowest reward. This is why you see people milking “tips” at burger shot.

Now to the street hustle. There isn’t enough places to sell causing overly patrolled areas making it harder to sell at times. Drugs aren’t only purchased in the low income neighborhoods. Which makes me say this. There should be more places to sell with higher chances of sale, but lower chances of profit depending on the drug. For instance. Meth in Sandy shores should be higher wanted and chance to sell. However due to higher chances of sale shouldn’t be as big of a money maker, not by much but it would be the sell it fast spot. Same thing for cocaine in Vinewood, or weed in mirror park. Let the low income areas stay how they are for profit and sales. Shipping yard should be both higher chance of sales for meth and cocaine cause those workers work long long hours. This would add a more realistic drug atmosphere and hopefully break up heavy patrolling on the small areas you can sell.

Yeah we are aware of this and are currently in discussions to where we can sprinkle some bits and bobs in!
