Criminal Job Balancing

currently their is no profiting in being a criminal, drug contacts are being held by older players in the city meaning that drugs can only be obtained from stealing houses or in smaller amounts from cars gloveboxes. The decryption keys also need a huge buff as they are incredibly rare and then the drops are ridiculously bad. with 6 officers at least online one of the drops i got was a shotgun and an AR mag. So the risks of hitting a bank truck and likely killing officers isn't worth the hassle as the RNG is so ludicrous. Needs addressing ASAP

I have been thinking about this one for a while what my opinion is to improve the truck situation.

I reckon If the duration of the looting emote could be longer it would influence a better police stand off, would require some skill and organisation for positioning and general role play communication, while giving everyone a fair chance to get involved in the situations. Especially with all the new court systems and minor offence fines ect it creates a lot of new avenues to dive down. Hopefully promoting some humble L takers too! I like it when cops take their time and I think they would be more willing to if the criminals had to also.

After all it’s not all about winning. I’m looking  to be out played by smarts aswell as skill.

With all said above, increasing the looted items slightly or adding another type of item/currency to the loot would be satisfying. It is a shame to have a big job and not be able to pay the team appropriately 😎 but I enjoy it either way.

Bring on 1.0

Edit: like Kon said it is insanely hard to find that balance, I would imagine that is the case! I wouldn’t be able to put a number on it, would have to be balanced between other types of income I suppose.

I do have more specific ideas on this aside the financials but don’t think it’s appropriate to post here.

Agree the trucks can be disappointing, think the floor on the loot table should be raised a bit given the risk involved.  They are a fun activity though either way.

Most of the crims I've talked to are making good money unless their idea of crime is stealing cars from PD and mugging random people. Please take this as a suggestion and not criticism, but if you're not profiting you should dig a little deeper and develop more connections because the opportunities are definitely out there.

There is definetly profits to be made but currently as you mentioned stuff is held by older players 1.0 is soon and stuff always changes so just be on the lookout!

Also i dont think the RNG is bad because as Kon mentioned above we dont want everyone to have everything which then just makes it worthless as discussed on many other posts a Progression system is what makes the criminal stuff more appealing to a lot of people

In my opinion, it is kinda hard to find the "Sweet spot" in-between something being OP or broken. If those items become less rare they are going to lose their value. If they do become easier to obtain the whole city is going to have everything in less than a week and people will complain. If things remain the same people will complain. Balancing such things is kinda hard cause people speak too much. At the end of the day tho I am not a staff member so I don't know. I just said my opinion on this
