Ending Beefs, Gang Wars/Peace Treaties
With rule discussions going on I thought I’d bring this up on its own. These are a few things that I’ve seen hinder lots of role play and become “too much” after going on too long.
1. “Beefs” or simply player altercations can go on to long over small situations to large ones as well. However where some servers have a rule that makes a player shot forgetting what happened, or new life rule, ours does not and this causes over drawn situations that almost seem to have no end.
I think a new system needs to be put in place to where it’s something as such.
-Player A attacks player B
-Player B retaliates
-Player A or B follows up in the last incident
-Player A or B has one last use of the altercation for a tool of action
-Beef ends
This would make it so blood baths without war aren’t happening amongst players or groups.
2. Gang Wars and Peace Treaties
I have come to notice in the past it is almost overly complicated for groups to get gang wars started, requiring admin intervention for a green light, or having issues getting in contact with other leads. A simple system as followed would help amplify gang wars.
- Group A and B sign a Declaration of War and post it in a channel on Discord. As of both parties signing this agreement they are given 5 days to war.
During the War rules of engagement are lifted so they are allowed to attack on sight. THIS DOES NOT GOVE FREEDOM TO MAKE WRONGFUL KILL MISTAKES. A player should ALWAYS know if they are attacking the right party or player. They are still subject to punishments for failing to do this. Say a person is mistaken for someone in an “orange gang” that falls on the attacker as RDM still.
An admin can end the declaration at any time, this includes during the signing phase.
After 5 Days of war group leads are to sign a peace treaty signifying its over. On agreement they are to not start another war for 14 day. Tensions can always be high, but they can’t push forward for this role play for this cool down period.
I feel making these changes would amplify the illegal world.
I can see this going both good and bad. Good because there are a lot of people that I have heard of that would like to be able to sneak attack someone and have them wonder which member they are at war with did it.
On the other end, Wrongful attacks are what is going to make this very hard to implement. People confuse others all the time. I feel that the common excuse would be "They were wearing or vehicles are the colors of the people that we are at war with. It was an honest mistake"
I get what you are saying. I hope someone higher up will run with this to see what is possible.
