Safes and Store Robberies

I enjoy the store robberies quite a bit. The only thing I have become overly frustrated with is the safe robberies. I don't understand it, and I don't know the process of getting into a safe. I have gone weeks asking other criminals for advice on it, and all the people I interact with, and I'm guessing the mass majority of criminals, don't know how to open a safe. While I appreciate complexity there are a few issues with this whole thing.

If I am given a code to a safe, why can't I just walk up to the safe and type in the code? Why is there extra steps to that? If I give someone the combination to my safe, and they find my safe, they can get it in. I walk up to the safes, no button to press to enter anything. I bring tools and electronics, None of them work. I have gone as far as calling in the number that it gives me.
I don't exactly get why this process is overly hard.

I know the Store Clerks, and the Safes have separate cool downs. That I am totally fine with.
I am not enjoying the safe robberies to the point I have basically stopped trying. I get the money from the clerk and I'm on my way.
I am not asking to find out what steps I am missing out on here, I am asking that the unneeded steps be removed. Have me punch in the code and get a timer like hotwiring a car to get in the safe, that's fine. There are tons of options I personally would rather see be involved in opening a safe.
BUT if the clerk is going to give me the code, I should have the ability to get in a safe without all the headache that seems to be involved in opening them.

I feel I am not the only person who feels this way and decided to make this post.
