Pawnshop/Trader Rework

Issues:

  1. Pawnshop and Traders have no integrated decay/depletion systems within them.
  2. Pricing of certain items needs to be modified and changed. (A separate post about this has been made)
  3. When you sell items to the traders it does not get automatically transferred over to the buy menu. You may sell x amount but when you go on to buy it will have y amount available and usually y<x.
  4. Some menus don't work and have been in the city for months

Solutions:

  1. In previous conversation with you. You have stated how you want to implement a variable decay rate. X amount of decay in Y amount of time. If this is implemented that is great however, I think that this is a bit unnecessary. A variable refresh rate is good but I feel the need of 2 variables is not needed. One variable can be kept constant probably (time) and have variable decay between (30% to 60%).
  2. A post with great price suggestions has been made. I will send further prices in a separate document to you that seem reasonable.
  3. I have no idea how this will be fixed but it is just an issue I have seen.
  4. Just like 3.

I hope you will take all of these points I've made into consideration.

To add onto this, we have hit a point now where we can't sell the likes of blue/green phones as every store is stacked currently.

A few updated outlooks on this entire system since I made this post.

Instead of having separate buy and sell menus  the shop should just have this refined look with a single page with all the items then the user hits enter on the product. Then they hit enter again further to get the option to buy or sell and then input the amount. Then the system takes away/adds amounts etc. Variation in buy and sell price is a bit insignificant instead just lower the prices on certain items and increase it on others and have one unanimous price. This will help combat problem 2,3 and 4

As for my ideas with decay. All items should have a max sell limit perhaps set to 100. Then you can implement decay in a way that x hour the system checks all the amounts for each item.

If amount for each variable item is > 80. Then then shoppers come in and reduce the variable between lets stay 24-64.

If amount for each variable < 20. Then the suppliers add to each variable with lets say from an interval to 10-20.

This way you can perfectly simulate a shop system. That is self sufficient. This will help tackle problem 1.

This entire system can be copied over for all major traders in the city of all sorts of goods.

However you can make the amounts stocked lower for the other types of trader maybe 1-2 and the restock interval longer as well. Also depletion can be dependent on players only and maximum and minimums can be reduced.  (However if this is done I'd like to discuss a new pricing with you just so balance is still in order)
